As Kimiko struggled beneath him, Rai slowly grinned, and then said simply,
"I win."
"the hell if you do," Kimiko growled. "now get off!" Rai obliged her, and slowly lifted himself off of her delicate frame.
"Sucker!" called Kimiko, "Now I'll win!"
"I don't think so, Kimiko." Rai grinned.
"What? just watch me!" she leapt towards him, but Rai had used his golden tiger claws to move his hand to grab her ankle. And now she was falling.
"Aaah!" Kimiko cried. But before she hit the ground, Rai caught her gently, releasing his hold on her ankle. She looks so fragile, I could just... Rai leaned in towards Kimiko, and as he did, Rai felt his arm being yanked. Suddenly, Rai was flying over Kimiko's shoulder.
"Whoa!" Rai yelled. While I was focused on her, Kimiko just wanted a weakness, and when I showed one, she flipped me. Damn, she's good. he thought to himself. Rai braced himself for impact. When he hit the ground, it was his turn to have the wind knocked out of him.
"Oof!" Rai said as he hit the ground.
"Hah!!!" cried Kimiko, happy about her success. "You can't beat me that easily!"
"I guess you're right," said Rai, "Good job!"
"Huh?" said Kimiko in confusion, "you're just going to give up?"
"Yeah. I'm done." said Rai. "I wanna go have lunch now, you coming?"
"Sure," said Kimiko, obviously confused, as she fell into step next to Rai.
When they got to the temple for lunch, they saw that Clay and Omi were already there. Wow. Kimiko and I were so focused on fighting each other, that we didn't realize how long we had been fighting. Cool.
"Where were y'all?" asked Clay. "We thought you weren't comin' for lunch."
"Oh, we were still fighting." said Rai, a little sheepishly.
"And now I'm starved!" said Kimiko eagerly. "Where's the food?"
"I am very sorry Kimiko and Raimundo," said Omi sadly, "but Clay and I have already- um...eaten down."
"YOU ATE ALL THE FOOD?!" yelled Rai, not even bothering to correct Omi's english.
"WHAT ARE WE GOING TO EAT?!" Kimiko screamed.
"I am sorry, young monks, but since you missed lunch, there is no food for you." Master Fung announced gravely. "you will have to wait untill dinner."
"WHA-AAT?!" Rai yelled, "I'm going to starve!!" Rai stalked out of the temple. He slumped on the stairs great. Just great. My feelings for Kimiko has lost us both lunch! She probably hates me now. I would hate me if I were her. Rai hunched his shoulders in self disgust. Lack of food had always brought out the worst side of him.
